Well we have two Pezamania Pez Conventions behind us but we
are still learning. We would like to thank all our dear friends who helped with their hard work and
encouragement. We can assure you that we will continue the proud tradition of Pezamania and we
will continually strive to make it better each year. Our goal is to keep the support and respect of all our loyal
Pezamania attendees as well as attract many newcomers.
We promise that we will give it our all each and every year.
Linda and I love Pez and Pez Collecting and have found the
Pez Community to be some of the most friendly, fun loving,
helpful, and generous people on the planet. Please continue
to support us and we will never let you down!!!
Thought we'd tell you about the DICEAMANIA Prizes for our Mega #1 DICEAMANIA Game this year.
We plan to have a BULLWINKLE, PSYCHEDELIC EYE in HAND and CAPTAIN AMERICA.
Our DICEAMANIA Prizes for our Mega #2 feature FRANKENSTEIN, WOLFMAN, FISHMAN and a FIREMAN (MIB).
Our DICEAMANIA Prizes for Mega #3 feature THOr, DIABOLIC, SCAREWOLF and SPOOK.
We are again planning a Charity Auction on Saturday afternoon this year following the
Ballroom Show. Last year's Charity Auction was very successful and we decided to
continue it again this year. We hope that the generous Pezheads will donate more wonderful
Pezzy items throughout the year that will be used in July to collect money for our NEW CHARITY.
All the proceeds from Pezamania 18 fund raisers will be given directly to The Animal Rescue Fund
of Batavia, Ohio. Please be generous. The Rescue Fund is a "no kill" agency that finds homes
for abandoned and abused animals. Please help us send them a nice check after our convention.
Modified Moonlight Madness
We plan to continue our Friday Night Event called Modified
Moonlight Madness. We feel that it adds some fun and excitement to the convention.
It will give late Friday night shoppers a chance to win some valuable prizes. All
dealers open for business on Friday night will have Modified Moonlight Madness tickets
available. Here's how the game will work:
1) Purchases of $25 or more will earn you (1) ticket from the dealer who sold you the item.
(Only one ticket per family at each dealer location please).
2) The more dealers you buy from - the greater your chance of winning!.
3) Each registered shopper must then fill out their tickets with contact information and present
them to John or Linda Gliha on Saturday in the Ballroom.
4) Dealers will also turn in all unused tickets to John or Linda on Saturday in the ballroom.
No contact information is required here. Each ticket will be previously marked with the dealer's name.
5) All collected tickets will be placed in a large jug.
6) Winning tickets will be drawn throughout the day on Saturday for cash awards.
7) There will be two special dealer only drawings for prizes too..
Pezamania Wars Tournament
Pezamania Wars (a Pezamania Exclusive event) will continue this July on Thursday
night. It will directly follow the swap meet. Here's how it will work:
Pezamania Wars is a single elimination tournament that involves playing a game of "War"
against an opponent. Each game is played with two people head to head. A deck of cards
is shuffled and the cards are dealt evenly to the two players. Each player will
simultaneously turn over the top card in his hand. Whoever has the higher card will
take the two cards or the trick. This is repeated until all the cards have been played
(once through the deck). At that time the player who has the most cards wins the round
and advances to the next round. One note - if when the two cards are shown they are
identical (eg. each player shows a six) - two more cards are shown until one player
shows a higher card. The player with that high card will take all the cards. (We chose
this game so adults would have no advantage over the kids).
The tournament will acommodate 128 players. The tournament will be conducted just like
the NCAA basketball tournament held every March.
A line will be formed outside the ballroom immediately following the Swap Meet. The first 128 people
will participate. There is a $2 charge for entering the tournament and will be collected
before entering the ballroom. Opponents for the first round should not know one another.
Also all children must be matched up with an adult for the first round. Those reaching the round of (8)
will be awarded some special prizes.
DICEAMANIA RULES:
Here's a description how our New Diceamania Game is played!! Each Diceamania Game will have six rounds
of play. Players earn points by rolling three dice. In each round, players are trying to roll the same
number as the round or the Target Number (for example rolling ones in round #1 or twos in round #2).
One point is awarded for each Target Number rolled successfully. For example, rolling 1, 1, 2 in round
#1 earns two points. In round #2 the same roll would earn one point. In rounds #3 through #6 that roll
earns no points.
Five points are awarded for rolling three of a kind of any number except the current Target Number.
For example, rolling 5, 5, 5 in round #3 earns five points. In round #5, that roll would earn (21) points.
The first person to roll a three of a kind Target Number should yell out "YOWSA" and he or she will win a
nice prize.
Each player rolls the dice as long as they score one or more points. When they fail to roll the Target
Number on any of the three dice, the dice are passed to the player on the left and the scorer records the
score for the round just rolled. This continues around the table until all players roll for all six Target
Numbers, (for example, each player will roll for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6). Once all players have rolled for
the six rounds, the game is over. The person with the highest score is the winner. That's how the game is played!
For grins I thought I'd show you a picture of Linda hard at work planning next year's
Pezamania #17 convention. Please take a look.

Our dear Peyton passed away on November 18 last year. I just don't have the heart to remove
her picture from our site. She looks so peaceful.
